His death immediately drew an outpouring of love from fellow members of the L.A. comedy scene online.

He pushed creative boundaries and his passion for his work and his love of baseball were contagious.

He was beloved by many and will be greatly missed.

Brody Stevens StoryThere was a charity show at the Laugh Factory for the charity of a major Hollywood agency.

Every time he was onstage it was an adventure.

An incredibly kind person and an exquisite comedian.

Nobody has been nicer in comedy than you.

Brody was always nice to me as a new comic.

He didnt treat anyone differently.

I will forever remember him doing batting warm ups outside Power Violence on Santa Monica Blvd.

Just the most unique, fun, positive dude ever.

Im incredibly lucky to have known him.#PositiveEnergypic.twitter.com/qDscffM6wE

Brody Stevens.

This is so heartbreaking.

The first time I saw him perform I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face.

Very few comedians have surprised me and delighted me the way he did.

If you are depressed or feeling suicidal hey hey hey hey hey reach out to ANYONE.

Thank you Brody for sharing your Comedy and positive energy with us for so many years.

Joke writing, crowd work, drums, baseball.

We love you forever Brody.#brodystevenspic.twitter.com/IYvo0wmWrt
