Harvey Weinsteins high-profile lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said hes withdrawing fromthe case.

Vulture confirmed that Brafmans statement about withdrawing from Weinsteins case was accurate.

In theEsquirepiece, Brafman conceded that the former Hollywood honcho often seeks second opinions on legal matters.

Esquiresaid in a note that it decided to post its profile of Brafman online early given the speculation.

The Manhattan District Attorneys Office declined to comment.

Brafman did land a legal victory in the months following Weinsteins arrest.

Evans had alleged that Weinstein forced her into oral sex during the summer of 2004.

That detective, Nicholas DiGaudio, didnt pass along that information to prosecutors, according to court proceedings.
